The way b2b marketing was done in the past, making fancy brochures, and putting together some ads, has changed dramatically.
In today’s connected world your b2b marketing has to be about two things.
1. Understanding what people want to achieve – their goals and aspirations.
2. Showing how you product or service can help them achieve it.
If you look at marketing this way, it will make it a lot simpler for you.
You still have to do research to ensure you know understand your target. You need to develop Buyer Personas so that you are reaching out to the right people.
But once you understand these personas, then your job becomes much easier.
You can show them you understand their aspirations and issues by answering the questions they have about obtaining their goals.
Show them that your company is an authority in your field.
Show them, through case studies, testimonials, and authority partners that you understand them and therefore can help them.
Demonstrate to your target market how you have helped other companies in similar circumstances.
Educate them on how they can achieve their goals by using your products and services. Don’t just ask them to buy.
If you don’t have any testimonials or case studies, solve problems for them. Show them how you can help them get results, by actually getting results for them.
Today’s markets are very competitive. Your potential clients want to know that you can help them. So the best way to show them is to actually helping them.
Give them methods to solve their problems so they can reach their goals. Sure, some of this market will try and simply use what you’ve shown them.
But most of your market will see that you are an expert, and it will be much easier and faster for them to have you help them reach their goals.
Give them content that they can use immediately. Ensure you get their contact information too, so you can follow up.
Be persistent, and you will succeed.
B2B marketing has changed dramatically, and for the better. Simple help your target market succeed, and you will succeed too.
And never be afraid to ask for help for your company either.
